Given the current COVID-19 pandemic, I am confident we are correct in not have a gathering as we would typically have.  With the safety of our citizens, veterans and employees in mind, social distancing continues to be a must.  With that being said, I think we can still honor our veterans by placing the flags on each grave in a very organized and safe way. The following is a summary of the approach we would like to use in accomplishing this mission.

 

 

1. Flag placement will begin Monday, May 18th, and will continue throughout the week.
2. This is strictly a volunteer effort. If you do not feel completely safe, please do not come. Your health is far more important.
3. Upon arrival at the cemetery, you will need to contact me either in person at the front office or call @ 901-543-2016 or my cell phone at 931-572-8347. At that point, I will assign you a section. If you come to the front office, I will give you a map highlighting how to get to the area assigned. This way I can monitor how many people are in each section. (social distancing) 
4. Our personnel will deliver the flags to that section.
5.  After you finish placing your flags, leave the containers that the flags were in near the road, and our staff will pick them up from there.
6. If there are flags in your container that are not fit to put out, please lay these aside, and we will retire them at a later date.
